PROF. VIJAY TANDON

Bio

Prof. Vijay Tandon brings over two decades of rich and diverse experience across industry, consulting, and academia. As Dean – Internationalization at Universal AI University, he leads the university’s efforts in building meaningful global partnerships and creating immersive international learning opportunities for students and faculty.

 

Before entering academia, Prof. Tandon built a strong foundation in marketing and strategy through leadership roles at global companies such as GE, Tyco, and AstraZeneca. At GE, he worked as a Marketing Manager, while at Tyco, he served as Product Manager for the South Asia region. He also consulted for a healthcare company (South Asia Region), deepening his expertise in international markets and cross-cultural engagement.

 

While his corporate journey was rooted in transforming businesses, his deeper calling was always about transforming lives. This shift in purpose inspired his transition into higher education, where he continues to use his industry experience to shape confident, future-ready professionals and foster global learning opportunities. Prof. Tandon holds a B.Sc. an MBA (Marketing) and enriched his academic journey through the Executive PGPM at IIM Calcutta.

 

Tandon has represented Universal AI University as visiting faculty at the University of Economics in Bulgaria, Cardiff Metropolitan University UK and the Swiss School of Management in Rome and Barcelona. He also serves as UAi’s brand ambassador at the Global Business School Network (GBSN) and is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.

 

He teaches in MBA & Executive MBA Programs across Marketing, Strategy, Innovation, and Luxury, bringing global context, industry relevance, and a personal passion for learner success into every classroom.
