Study Abroad

  • Selection of students in study abroad programs is based on merit and shall be subject to the fulfillment of selection criteria, availability of seats, and approval of the respective host institutions.     
  • The duration can be between 1-3 months which depends on the host institution’s program
  • The exchange student receives a Certificate of Completion issued by the host institution if s/he clears the exams of the subjects has been taught by the host institution during the duration of the exchange

Universal AI University focuses on making the students corporate ready while they continue with their academic goals.Our inhouse SAVI model starts with self-assessment of each student on competencies, goals, value propositions and individual SWOT. The internally faculty and industry professionals evaluate each student through a validation process to identify the gaps and prepare a student road map so that we can build on the strength of the students through regular industry interventions.

MENTORING & COUNSELLING

Each student has a mentor on campus who they meet every week on Tuesdays. The Mentor acts as the “Local guardian” and coaches the students on academic performance, personal issues, behavioral issues, personal grooming, current affairs, mock interviews, and career building.

Daily transportation services are provided to & from UBS campus to karjat station and market. Campus car and driver services are also available for the students on 12 hour hire basis. For local communication, another option is auto rickshaws which are available from right outside the campus.

Student Security

More than 30 Security personnel 24×7 round the clock across campus. There are two Special Security Officer posted below the Girls Hostel. The Campus has extremely strict rules that restrict boys from entering the Girls hostel at any point of time (24×7). The entire Campus is under CCTV surveillance and a Special Camera is installed right above the Hostels. If any student leaves Campus to go to Mumbai,then the Head of Admin is in constant touch with her after 6:00 pm.A special car is dispatched to pick the students from the station.

History of the Company

Experiential Learning Corporation (ELC) was formed with the vision of Mr. Tarun Anand, our Chief Evangelist and Managing Director (Fmr. Managing Director of Thomson Reuters, South Asia and Chairman & Founder of Universal Business School) to create a professional organization built and led by students where they could learn the art and science of management and practice it as well. It was clear to Mr. Anand after having run global multi-billion dollar businesses in over 136 countries and served on the Board of a $40 billion corporation that management education could only be learnt by doing real business and not sitting in a classroom. He was educated in the top B-schools in the world like Tuck Business School (USA), Michigan Ross School of Business (USA), IE Business School (Spain) and SPJIMR (India), where he learnt the best practices in management education. He was keen to empower UBS students and ignite their minds to germinate ideas enabling them to organize themselves in an organization with goals, purpose, structure, teams, leadership and a profit motive.

On September 7, 2016, ExColearn Pvt. Ltd. came into existence formally and ELC was transformed into a Private Limited Company and create a thriving enterprise. Towards this goal, students took on roles of writing the MOA & AOA, and got the company formerly registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It was decided that ELC would become an external focused organization and deliver revenues whilst benefitting the entire student body and external companies.A complete charter was created towards the organization structure, how VP’s would get promoted, how a CEO would be selected and a comprehensive rule book on the workings of the ELC was drafted towards making the dream into a reality of becoming the first on-campus company in India created, built and led by students where learning would be inculcated. Every student recruited into the ELC would need to go through a panel interview and strict criteria was implemented to attract the best talent.

A Marketing Professional on a Mission to Build Brands and Create Partnerships: Meet Dimple Lingayat

She started as a marketing executive in APAC in publishing, who was passionate about brand building & and formulating strategies. She now has more than 6+ years of marketing expertise, having worked with prominent firms in the publishing, FMCG, payments, media and entertainment, and automotive industries.

Dimple’s present responsibilities include digital marketing, public relations, and event partnerships for the e-commerce industry.

 

Dimple holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management Studies (BABMS) from UBS Business School. She was one of the program’s initial students, and she credits the institution with providing her with the foundation she needed to thrive in her career.

She recalls that Universal Business School, now India’s 1st Ai University, Universal Ai University, has been a great learning experience. She was exposed to various leaders and industries across the globe. The consistency, dedication, and innovation that was instilled in her were core values that helped her become a team player. 

The 3-year program allowed her to interact with managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs alike across various fields, which helped her learn by building connections.

 

Learning from faculties who were industry experts was transformative as well as being part of the first Digital Marketing team for Rush4Rush where she interacted with clients from different industries. She was one of the members to represent India in the first Indian Youth Delegation Program to China, 2015 held from 9th June to 19th June in Beijing and Shanghai, which was organized and sponsored by the Chinese government. “It was a great learning and enriching experience to learn about their culture, environment, business principles, and opportunities, and their technology leadership. Multiple opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities ranging from university drama, dance, Street play (then directed by an NSD National School of Drama lead), and Indoor & and outdoor sports helped in my confidence building, skills diversification such as planning & and organizing & and constant creativity & innovation (I also won the Pool Singles Women’s championship – the skill I learned at UBS). Regular treks to the picturesque mountains from the UBS campus were the best times for a nature lover like me but also helped me build on mental resilience, teamwork patience & and perseverance. Subsequently, he ascended to the role of Director of strategy at Mindshare Fulcrum, a distinguished subsidiary of GroupM and WPP. Here, he was integral to the media strategy for Hindustan Unilever, one of India’s advertising giants. His outstanding accomplishments recently ushered him into Sony Pictures, where he serves as the Senior Manager of Programming Strategy. In this role, he masterfully blends Strategy, Data Analytics, and Consumer Insights to sculpt and realize organizational goals, further solidifying his stature in top-tier leadership.

UAiU Alumni Association Founding Chairman: Yaazdan – The one who draws unique insights from different backgrounds: Meet Yaazdan Katrak

His journey, through his lens…

Universal Ai University not only gave him a management degree, but a new perspective towards business acumen and management.

Right out of Mumbai University, Yaazdan joined UBS Cardiff Met after interning for an NGO in Mumbai. The diversity of the student body gave him a unique perspective on how managers from different parts of the country approach business problems.

He learned how managers from different cultures and backgrounds use their own unique experiences to solve problems. This helped him to develop a more nuanced understanding of the challenges facing businesses today and how to approach them in a way that is both effective and culturally sensitive. 

For example, he learned how managers in rural areas often have to be more creative and resourceful in their problem-solving, as they may not have access to the same resources as managers in urban areas.

The faculty at UAiU was really helpful in developing his talents and addressing his areas of improvement. They used real-world experience to assist & and grasp the issues that businesses face today. Guest talks from industry leaders were also a highlight of the program. He learned how managers from different parts of the country collaborate to solve the same business issues, and he was exposed to various approaches to problem-solving.

 

One of the most useful experiences he had at UAiU was the opportunity to represent the school as Student Council President at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales. This week-long leadership exchange program provided him with the opportunity to network with students from other countries and learn about diverse cultures.

 

After graduating from UAiU, he worked for an educational consultancy in Mumbai. He applied what he learned at UAiU to assist the company in building its business. In addition, as the Partnership Coordinator for a major UK university in India, he had the opportunity to put his leadership talents to use and network with other professionals.

 

Whilst sharing his journey, he is humble and appreciative of the chances provided by UAiU, and he is convinced that these abilities will serve him well throughout his career.

 

Overall, his experience at Universal Ai University taught him that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to business problems. The best way to solve a problem is to consider the unique context in which it is occurring and to draw on the insights of people from different backgrounds.

Sankalp had always wanted to make a positive influence by constantly learning. His professional trajectory has taken him across a variety of businesses, but his primary focus is on using artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches to alleviate the global lack of talented people.

One of his most transforming events occurred while working as a learning and development manager for a huge international firm. He was tasked with creating a new training program to assist staff in obtaining the skills necessary to succeed in the digital age. He chose to combine artificial intelligence and data-driven methodologies to create a personalized learning experience for each employee. 

This event taught him the power of employing technology to improve the learning experience. It also demonstrated the significance of ongoing learning and development in today’s swiftly changing world. 

He is devoted to using his talents and experience to help people learn and improve, and he is thrilled to explore how technology can be used to make learning even more accessible and effective.

Here are some particular examples of how he used his talents and knowledge to positively impact learning and development:

He created a personalized learning platform that employs artificial intelligence to track each employee’s progress and offer relevant learning content. This platform has been utilized by over 10,000 employees to help them gain the skills they need to succeed in their roles.
