Her career reflects a unique blend of practical retail expertise and academic excellence, enabling her to bring real-world insights into management education.
She has accumulated 11 years of industry experience in retail operations, working with leading brands in retail, apparel, footwear, and accessories, serving customers across India and international markets. During this period, she developed strong expertise in revenue generation, inventory management, customer experience, sales operations, and retail strategy, consistently driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
In academia, Dr. Durge has devoted 20 years to teaching and mentoring students in areas such as Marketing, Retail Management, Sales Management, Negotiation, and Consumer Behaviour. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes experiential learning, industry relevance, and strategic thinking, preparing students to navigate evolving market environments with confidence and competence.
Her doctoral research focused on urban retail environments, reflecting her deep interest in understanding changing consumer patterns and retail ecosystems.
