PROF. AHITAGNI DASGUPTA

Bio

Ahitagni Dasgupta is a Mumbai-based audio engineering professional with over two decades of expertise in the field. Beginning his career in 1998 as a Studio Assistant, he soon established himself as a respected Recording, Mixing, and Mastering Engineer. By 2002, he specialized as a Mastering Engineer, consulting with leading record labels such as EMI, Universal, Warner, Strumm, along with numerous independent producers.

 

In addition to his work in mastering, Ahitagni has built a strong reputation as a studio design and acoustics consultant, providing expertise in audio setups, installations, and recording/post-production studio design. His diverse portfolio also includes audio restoration, album mastering/re-mastering, and audio post-production for a wide range of projects.

 

As an educator, Ahitagni has been imparting knowledge since 2014, serving as visiting faculty at institutes such as the SeamEdu School of Pro-Expressionism, Mumbai Music Institute, and the School of Bollywood Music. He has trained and mentored aspiring audio professionals while actively pursuing his creative projects. Beyond the studio, his interests span photography, analog hardware, and media consultancy, highlighting his multifaceted approach to the audio and creative industries.
