Bio

Prof. (Dr.) Suneel G. Deshpande is a distinguished academician and industry leader with over 35 years of versatile professional experience spanning pharmaceutical marketing, sales, business development functions in the pharmaceutical sector  and post graduate & executive management education. With 20 years in corporate leadership roles and 15 years in academia, he has successfully bridged industry expertise with academic innovation.

 

Dr. Suneel Deshpande has worked with leading pharmaceutical organizations including Bayer, FDC, Shreya Life Sciences, Raptakos Brett & Co., Medley Pharmaceuticals, and CFL Pharmaceuticals Innova LifeSciences  holding senior positions such as General Manager (Marketing) and Marketing Controller. In academia, he has served at reputed institutions like IES Management College & Research Centre, SIES College of Management Studies, K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management, K.K.Modi International Management Institute & Stratford University , contributing significantly to curriculum design, curating healthcare management programs, conceptualizing & successfully organizing management development programs , consulting activities and other corporate collaborations.

 

A visionary in healthcare and pharmaceutical management education, he has conceptualized numerous industry-academia initiatives, conceptualized/organized & chaired conferences, and mentored future leaders. Recipient of multiple accolades, including the “Most Influential Professor Award (2024)” and “Pharma Professional of the Year (2024)”, Dr. Suneel  continues to inspire excellence in management education and the pharmaceutical sector. Dr Suneel also is the Founder & Director of his boutique advisory & consulting company – Academy of Pharmaceutical Leadership
