DR. PRIYA SOLOMON
Bio
Dr. Priya Solomon is a distinguished academic leader, finance educator, researcher, and administrator with over 22+ years of experience in higher education and academic leadership. She has worked as Head of Department, Director, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Program leader & Coordinator and Professor contributing to the institutional growth and quality assurance of reputed universities and business schools in India.
She completed her doctorate (PhD) from the University of Allahabad. Her other notable academic qualifications include M.A. in Economics, M.Sc. in Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst (ICFAI University), UGC-NET qualification, and a Post Graduate Program in Business Analytics for Strategic Decision Making from IIT Roorkee.
Dr. Solomon has authored four books, 29 Scopus-indexed publications, 27 book chapters (17 Scopus-indexed), and 30 journal articles (including 12 in ABDC-listed journals). Her research interest spans corporate finance, fintech, blockchain applications in finance, securities and portfolio analysis, behavioural finance, climate finance, sustainability, ESG, SDGs and carbon credits. She has guided PhD scholars and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for international Scopus-indexed journals
Dr. Solomon is the recipient of numerous awards including the Outstanding Academic Leader Award (2024), International Distinguished Keynote Speaker Award (2023), Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper (2023), her research article included in Global Literature on Coronavirus World Health Organization: Property Management ID: covidwho- 1462609
Her contributions go beyond teaching and research—she has played a central role in institutional accreditation, NEP 2020 compliance and the establishment of innovation, sustainability and AI-driven skill development centres.
She has actively engaged in outreach initiatives, delivering MOOCs on SWAYAM, developing e-content for UG/PG management courses and hosting educational programs on community radio.
Her innovative mindset is reflected in her contributions to emerging domains such as blockchain, AI and fintech. She holds five Indian patents and two Australian innovation patents in finance, organisational behaviour and artificial intelligence applications.
