Bio

Prof. (Dr.) Elizabeth Strand is an esteemed academic and industry expert with a distinguished career spanning linguistics, cognitive science, organizational psychology, and technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Cognitive Science from The Ohio State University, USA, and currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at the prestigious SMU Cox School of Business, where she teaches Organizational Psychology.

 

Dr. Strand brings a rare blend of academic insight and real-world experience to her teaching. A former Manager at Microsoft, she has also contributed to the fast-paced innovation ecosystem of Silicon Valley through her work with multiple startups. Her cross-disciplinary expertise enables her to bridge the gap between human behavior, artificial intelligence, and global organizational dynamics.

 

At Universal Ai University, she leads the groundbreaking course “Global Perspectives in Psychology and AI”—a unique offering that explores the intersection of cognitive science, cultural psychology, and emerging AI technologies. Through this course, students gain a global understanding of how psychological principles and AI interact in diverse cultural, corporate, and technological contexts.
