Bio
Ms. Sonal Bhise is an Assistant Professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence & Future Technologies at Universal AI University. She is a passionate academic and researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Human Activity Recognition, with a strong focus on developing intelligent, data-driven solutions for real-world applications.
She holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar, Assam, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from G. H. Raisoni University, Amravati, Maharashtra, where she graduated as a University Gold Medalist in recognition of her outstanding academic performance.
Ms. Bhise’s research explores advanced AI techniques, particularly lightweight CNN-Attention networks and cross-modal knowledge distillation. Her work has applications in gym workout classification, user authentication, and repetition counting using multimodal wearable sensor data, contributing to the advancement of intelligent healthcare and activity recognition systems.
She has presented her research at the 8th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Smart Computing & Informatics (ESCI-2026) held in Pune, India, reflecting her active engagement with the global research community. Through her teaching and research, Ms. Bhise is committed to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and hands-on learning while preparing students to excel in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
