Hello Everyone,
I am Raunak Yadav, a 21-year-old MBA student at Universal AI University, and today I’m thrilled to share my start-up journey. How did I turn my idea into a reality? I started by developing the concept, securing the necessary resources, and then transforming it into a functioning business. Maintaining a positive outlook and receiving invaluable support from family and friends were crucial to this process.
The Spark of an Idea
The journey began on a particularly hectic day filled with uncertainty about my future. During this period, I stumbled upon an article discussing the drawbacks of print-on-demand. What caught my attention and sparked my curiosity was the article’s critical view, prompting me to delve into extensive research. This exploration led me to realize that combining print-on-demand with drop-shipping could create a streamlined model, eliminating the need for inventory management and personal handling of deliveries.
Turning Concept into Reality
After integrating these concepts into a cohesive business plan and receiving positive feedback from mentors, family, and friends, the next challenge was selecting the right products for my store. Drawing inspiration from my mother, a fashion designer and professor, I decided to focus on designing t-shirts, leveraging both her expertise and my own emerging interest in fashion.
Looking Ahead
Naming the store and creating a logo was a time-consuming but rewarding process. Inspiration struck during a visit to my favourite sandwich spot, Merwin’s, leading to the name “Drape” and the tagline “Drip with Drape.”
As I continue my studies at Universal AI University, I look forward to expanding my knowledge in marketing, business development, and financial management. Learning from industry experts, mentors, and professors will be invaluable as I strive for continual growth and success.
Thank you.
